In the not-too distant future, Gaia was paid a visit by its own kind, yet alien to them. Called The Provectus, this group of humans seemed to have travelled from another distant planet. As we learnt from them, we discovered that they are far more advanced than us in technology, having able to master interstellar travel.

 

As a sign of cooperation, we allowed the Provectus to bridge their interstellar highway (Astroway) to us, allowing both of our Worlds to share our knowledge and learn from one another. But there’s a deeper reason behind this; we are afraid of the Provectus colonizing us.

 

We sent our first group of astro-diplomats, comprising of astronomers from various countries, to explore space discovered by the Provectus. It turns out that there are more Gaia-habited-like planets out there. There was one we are particularly attracted to: Civitas.
